Cliff Coffee: Authentic Third Wave Coffee with Unique Southwestern Vibes in Plano, TX

A true third wave joint. Serving up Lemma at the moment, cortado was the right temp, milk was sweet, and espresso was full bodied, sweet, and the notes were distinguishable. I love the vibes. They have a great western/new Mexico rustic feel. Barista’s were warm and friendly! It’s modern, but still inviting and bright. Reminded me of onyx hq in some ways. Will definitely come again!

I didn’t know what I was walking into when I decided to try this place out, but when I walked in I was transported to the southwest. The interior designer of Cliff Coffee deserves the highest award the industry has to offer - this place is gorgeous. Not knowing what to order, I asked for recommendations. They had a few signature drink suggestions, and I asked for the Tumbleweed. It’s advertised as a cold drink, but it was 40° so I ordered it hot instead. I got my drink to stay and enjoyed the ambiance. My latte was served in a nice porcelain cup with a little latte art on top. I can see this spot being part of a nice weekend routine. It’s very close to Oak Point Nature Preserve - take your pup for a stroll and then enjoy a nice local cup of coffee.

My wife and I had heard good things about Cliff Coffee so we decided to check it out for ourselves. Conveniently located right off of Spring Creek in Assembly Park, they offer everything you could want from a coffee shop. The menu is extensive, and the baristas are knowledgeable and friendly. I tried the tumbleweed from their seasonal menu and thought it was fantastic! Sweeter than my usual preference, it was a delightful brown sugar and caramel flavor that left me wanting more even after their generous serving size. My wife ordered a cappuccino, and asked if she could get a bit of caramel or something when she tried it. They were very accommodating and made sure she got a coffee she loved! Yes, they have a military discount. Restrooms are available, and we're fairly clean, but are single occupancy men or women, so your mileage may vary on cleanliness during busy times. Outdoor seating was lovely, indoor seating offers an eclectic selection of couches and chairs with background music that isn't overly intrusive. Overall, if you're a fan of coffee and find yourself in the area, I highly recommend a departure from the usual corporate chains. Definitely give Cliff Coffee a try!

Love love love the vibe here. Super friendly staff and their drinks are legit. Ordered the Mexican Standoff (caramel cinnamon vanilla latte with cayenne pepper) and wowza it was amazing! You immediately smell/taste all of the flavors and then it finishes with a cayenne kick. So freaking GOOD!! Also got their chocolate chip cookies, which are baked by the owner. Holy cow these babies are rich and decadent!! Must have again. Their cortados are LEGIT. The mini stroopwafel is a nice touch. Haven’t seen any other local coffee shops serve it like this. Just overseas.

I love cliff coffee and they’re such a great addition to the Plano area! They have amazing and unique seasonal flavors. I don’t think I can pick a favorite because everything is so good!! Also I love the vibe inside. It’s a great place to study or remote work or just grab a coffee with a friend. Also, the staff is always so nice! Probably some of the nicest people ever. Them + the coffee make my day.

I love that they have unisex bathrooms with baby changing tables! The space is huge and yet very comfortable feeling. They have heavy cream! Nice tasting coffee. They just started doing breakfast tacos and sandwiches made to order in house! Super friendly, inviting staff. I look forward to making this a regular stop!

Pleasantly surprised by the elevated service. Very rarely do I get coffee served in this textbook manner (apart from select Turkish restaurants) in the DFW metroplex. The Espresso Doble was superb but the Americano was kinda weak. Sparse dessert selections did not detract from the experience. The weather will soon be just right to enjoy coffee outdoors. Let's hope that the standards are sustained for a wider set of patrons.

Um this coffee shop is next level… It was a solid 45 minute commute for me, but it was worth every bit of traffic to get here. I got the Huckleberry Latte off their specialty menu - it was honey, vanilla, cinnamon - and it was INCREDIBLE. I have never had almond milk frothed so velvety. The vibes in here are immaculate. They thought of every detail. Loved how open and airy the space was with all the natural light. Plenty of seating and great for getting work done. And lots of parking! I will be back!
